Could be a bad master cylinder or booster. also, check your brake fluid level, add if neccesary and if that doesnt help check it again and if its low again, you have a leak. Take the tires off and check around the calipers and on the lines for traces of leaking brake fluid

How to detect if power booster bad

If power booster is bad it will cause a hard pedal, If master cylinder is bad. pedal will go to floor .running or not. when the brake pedal goes down at a standing stop, it is the master cylinder losing vacuum.( replace). Hope this helps you!

Brake pedal goes to floor vehicle still stops

Is the brake light on? Check your fluid level. Pedal going to the floor could be because of a leak in the hydrolic system line, hoses, caliper, wheel cylinders, master cylinder internal and external leaks. Can also be because of over sized drums and/or under adjusted brake shoes.

Brake pedal sinks to floor

Losing fluid somewhere or losing pressure in the master. Will need to be serviced by a shop. Can't drive it this way.

Brake pedal is mushy all the way to the floor. Have already replaced front calipers, master cylinder, and bled all the brakes. Pedal still goes all the way to the floor when stopping the car.

If the car has drum brakes in the rear, Jack the rear up and have someone push the brake pedal hard and you try to turn the wheel. If you can turn it you need to adjust the rear shoes. They may be traveling out so far that the fluid level drops causing the pedal to go to the floor. You must adjust them with the drum on till you hear and feel the shoes rubbing against the drum. Hope this helps.

Having problems with the brakes on my f150 pickup i have changed the calipers and bleed them properly and still there is a problem can anyone tell me if it could be the master cylnder or the splitter valve...

maybe bleed the back brakes,Have you adjusted the back brakes yet?if the master cylinder is bad then the pedal will go all the way to the floor, and not always lets you stop.if the back brakes arent adjusted enough then you would have to pump them a couple of times to stop. The same if air was in the lines.

Brakes

Check for air in the lines, if that does not sole your problem then it does sound like a bad master ccylinder, some can be rebuilt and others just need to have a new master cylinder bought.

Presuming you have NO leaks in the hydraulic system,it would be a bad brake master cylinder. What's happening is,the piston inside the master cylinder has rubber seals, and when the pedal goes to the floor, the master cylinder is leaking internally, past the rubber seals. If the brake booster was bad,the symptom would be an extrememly HARD,unresponsive, brake pedal, and the engine would idle terrible (vacuum leak).Good luck.
