2002 Corolla o2 sensor location

After starter rebuild ,new bat,new wire to body ground and ok plugs/injectors have first moring start trouble. Just passed last emissions check which may lead to my hunch. Damp weather seems worse than cold but warm weather first moring starts are best. Get occasional check engine lights I do neg terminal resets to get this anoying light off dash which works. Can you point to what o2 sensor may be problem and show a schematic pointing its location.Do you have another guess. Can't locate the hidden body ground for starter relay which apears in behind headlight assembly. Can you confirm this black/white wire location. Left front fender was once caught and pulled slightly out so may be damaged so Ineed to inspect.-THANKS nanccinut

it is in the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe just ahead of the catalytic converter, there is also a downstream sensor behind the cat converter. see picture of 1st sensor

Unfortunately I had the same exact problem on my 2001 Toyota Corolla. I also replaced both oxygen sensors with no success. I actually had to replace the catalytic converter. Worse I had to go thru the dealer . Midas told me they won't replace Corolla converters . At least the problem is solved.

code p 2238 refers to heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 1 bank 1 positive current control --circuit low===causes --wiring short to ground --HO2S
also refers to oxygen sensor (O2) 1 bank 1 -positive current control --circuit ;ow==causes --wiring short to ground ---O2S
also refers to heated oxygen sensor 1 bank 1 ---implausible signal===causes --wiring short to positive, short to ground --HO2S---ECM
at this point I suggest changing the heated oxygen sensor in bank 1 exhaust before the cat converter using the specialist tool as the sensor wires are delicate and subject to easy damage

My 25 amp fuse for the asd keeps blowing on my 2001 town & country

The ASD powers the ignition coil, 6 injectors, two heated o2 sensors, and the alternator field. I wold unplug all but the o2 sensors and see if the fuse blows. If not blown plug things back in until it blows. If this doesn't fix it I can give you more steps.

fuseable links are located a few inches away for each componet
starter solenoid
alternator
any other factory option that uses more than 30 amps per hour
I do think you have a connection problem or a cable internally corroded
take jumper cables and connect to the starter and compare the ohm readings
the solenoid wire can be corroded as well causing a no start and no voltage reading too

is the your car engine cranking when you try to start, first check spark plugs ignition coils, remove one ignition coil and spark plug fix the spark plug in to the ignition coil then connect ignition coil to wiring and keep spark plug body touching on ground of engine head mettle parts, ask some one to crank engine then you can see is the plug sparking or not, do the same way to all the coils and plug otherwise you have to buy a ignition spark tester, is the all the coils and spark plugs are OK then check the fuel pump, it's sitting in under rear seat, before that do one thing disconnect oxygen (O2) sensor wiring and crank engine, the thing is if your oxygen sensor completely dead fuel pump will stop working, if engine start after disconnect O2 sensor, replace new O2 sensor, otherwise need to check fuel pump relay fuse and fuel pump. is this information helped you? please vote me and give a comment.

not enough information so i will cover many possibilities:

new spark plugs would be a good place to start .. then replace the ignition wires, clean the coil insulator .. clean or replace the distributor cap .. when you replaced the O2 sensor that should have eliminated the "heater circuit" problem (the O2 sensor has a built in heater that gets it up to working temprature faster at warm up) .. .. if the wiring and connectors to the O2 sensor are ok then that fault code should go away .. multiple misfires will keep the trouble light on .. that could also be caused by a sticking or dirty injector or dirty throttle body.. you can use a good injector cleaner for that .also look for a cracked vacuum hose ... it would be good to know the present fault code since it should have changed once you installed the new O2 sensor .. there may be two O2 sensors (one later in the exhaust system) ..it sounds like you got the right one but make sure ..it may take some time for the computer to adjust to the new O2 sensor and for the injector cleaner to work .. make sure new plugs are gapped properly and use an "antiseize" compound on the threads .. that reduces the probability of the plugs sticking in their sockets .. on aluminum heads the plugs want to seize (or weld) in place after a long time. .. that makes them really hard to get out later .. just a tiny amount of antiseize compound on the theads helps a lot .. be careful not to overrtighten plugs in aluminum heads ..
if your engine is badly missing on one cylinder (you should easily detect that) then a sticking injector would be suspect .. there are some simple ways to get it working again if thats the case ..

1987 chevy s10 2.5l tbi will not start. changed bad fuel pump works well now strong pressure to throttle body. change fuel pressure switch, oil pressure switch, o2 sensor, map sensor, distrib cap, rotor,...

That eliminates the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. Have you checked the fuel injector itself for an open winding or stuck valve plunger? There should not be a steady 12 volts to the injector--if good injector, it would be spraying fuel steadily into the throttle body. But at least the engine should try to run if poorly. Take the injector out, dry it off with air, and intermittently apply 12 volts to one terminal while grounding the other. You should hear a click from inside every time you touch 12 volts. If not, replace it. If it does, it may be plugged with debris. Try blowing through it in reverse with compressed air.
