there could be an air lock in the system, pluged heator core, a bad thermostate or control modual. try bleeding the air out through the bleeder screew if there is no heat after that have the control modual tested if its okay try having the cooling system flushed then if it still doesnt heat intall new termostate

A pop and hesitation is likely a backfire. The hesitation around 40 and 50 would be in keeping with that theory. There are several reasons you might be getting backfires and hesitation. If your ECM is adjusting the engine to run too rich this could happen. Misfiring might be occuring. Timing could be out. But one of the most likely is a restricted exhaust, likely due to a plugged, damaged or worn out catalytic converter. In some cases the converter may be bad enough to be giving you some performance problems, but not yet quite bad enough to signal an error. A vacuum test can help confirm whether this is exhaust related.

have you checked the fuel injector? if enough fuel is not getting through when accelerating it could "choke" causing the hesitation

P0016 usually indicates, Crankshaft and camshaft are out of sync, which will cause the symptoms you are experiencing. You can try replacing both crank and cam sensor, but no guarantees.On the other hand, a dealer should be able to test both those sensors before replacing them if they think one or more is defective, as they have been having some problems with transmission flex plates cracking and causing signal to be off, on crank sensor. The dealer can put the DRBIII scan tool on to sync it and check. If it turns out to be flex plate, ask dealer to go to bat for you with Chrysler on paying part of the repair, as it is becoming more common these days and they may just help out. If not, call owner relations at Chrysler yourself and ask them why they won't help when it's an obvious defect, but let dealer try first. Good Luck, keep me posted.
