You would also need to plug the road draft tube.
The system would need to pull vac on the pcv valve from one side of the engine and allow air to enter the crankcase thru the air filter from another access point such as the oil filler pipe.
Later Corvair engines had a different top engine cover to allow for the use of a PCV valve. DO NOT modify the valve covers. Clark's Corvair Parts has all the parts you need for the upgrade.

The PCV valve should be in the right end of the front valve cover in a rubber grommet
The fuel filter is located in the fuel line underneath the car on the driver's side, infront of the rear wheel.
