How can I disable my Hyundai Sonata ABS brakes?

Pull the fuse. Look in your owners manual for the fuse location. This will turn the ABS light on. Also disable the traction control and all wheel drive if you have them.

Abs and tcs lights on what do they stand for?

ABS stands for anti lock brake system.
TCS stands for traction control system.

I recommend having your abs system diagnosed for faulty sensors, control module, etc. With the abs light on the traction control system is designed to disable because it utilizes the abs system to automatically help control your vehicle in loss of traction situations.

ESC ABS light stays on is there a recall on 2006 Hyundai Sonata for this vin#5NPEU46F46H048142?

if there is a recall the dealer will send you papers to inform you, what probably happened is you hit the brakes really hard, locked them up and it blew the abs relay.

ABS (HECU) MODULE. Does your ABS/ESC light come "ON"? You'll need to take it in
a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.). This way you will find out which parts, if any, you need to fix it - perhaps fix it yourself.

ESP & ABS light comming on all the time

you should have the ESC/ABS module scanned for DTC's.

here are the 2 most likely causes.

1. low brake fluid
2. sticking/siezing brake lamp switch

at the dealership i see the brake lamp switches go bad left & right on a lot of the newer hyundai's. are your brake lights working?
