We think this is the same problem we are having. The engine is attempting to turn over, but doesn't. Where are the fuses for the injection and control unit?

Sounds like the electric fuel pump next to or in the tank is bad. Before changing it I would check the fuses for the injection and control unit first, that may be all it is. If it is a manual pump then it has gone out. Good Luck, RAC

Ran out of fuel petrol. 2 litre injection .put fuel in but not starting help

You probably have an air lock in the fuel line which won't allow fuel to reach engine. Find a joint in fuel line near engine, open joint or attachment point to give access to pipe and carefully fill from a small bottle , add a little at a time to let any air out.

Hello .. I am having a maruti Suzuki 800 Or fronte with altered daihatsu 1 litre turbo diesel engine with turbo removed .. the car is lazy to start after 3days of not using .. the self start has a glow...

diesels need a fast turning starter to compress the air to a hot enough temperature to ignite the atomised fuel at the injectors. There in lies the problem I would suggest. 1 the battery is not good enough .2 the injectors are dirty /blocked and are squirting and not atomising. IF this is the case you will be getting "diesel knock". If you have removed the turbo then you will need to get the fuel pump reset as there will be excess fuel being used ( knocking and black smoke on acceleration). AS for quietening down the engine and compartment it has taken much engineering by manufacturers to get the engine as quite as they are now and this engine was noticeably noise when new.

  • Hi, I can help. Please see the diagrams I uploaded for your firing order. You did not list weather you have fuel injection, turbo or carburetor so I will list all 3 possibilities for you.

  • This is the firing order for a carbureted.

  • This firing order is for a fuel injected turbo engine.

  • This firing order is for fuel injection with out turbo.

Fuel pump not turning on. Won't fire but will turn over. swapped out relay, still not fire.

Try banging on the fuel tank, and then quickly try to start it, if it starts your fuel pump is almost dead and will need replaced soon.
If it doesn't start, test for power at the wiring connector on top of the fuel tank. This test requires 2 people, because the fuel pump is only powered for a few seconds when the engine isn't running. If you have power, then the problem is in the fuel pump (completely failed or bad wiring connection on the pump/inside the sending unit)

Doesn't sound like you've considered spark. Sounds like you're losing spark somehow. You seem to know your way around a truck, so I don't have to explain every little thing. Just check all the ignition stuff, go through the distributor and coil and plugs and wires. If it's gettin fuel, its either a spark issue or air/vaccum issue. Hope this helps.

Your fuel pump runs for a few seconds when you turn the ignition is turned on because the fuel pressure naturally eases off when the engine is stopped, it runs until it gets to>< 30PSI and kicks off. This is normal, you know that fuel is reaching the injector line. On some engines there is a solenoid that has to trigger before fuel can go into the fuel lines for the injectors. If this solenoid isn't firing the computer will detect it and shut off the ignition. Look for some kinda solenoid or gadget where your fuel line come up in front of the fire wall. It should be close to where the fuel line splits off to go to each bank. Hope it;s a wire come unplugged and easy fixed. dhgill1949
