Check the ignition wire from you solenoid to your ignition in the column they usually have a fusable link since the 302 is harder to turn over than the inline six you probably just blew that fuse or burnt the wire the easiest way to check it is follow ur third wire on ur solenoid its like a 12 or 14 guage wire and check for charring or hopefully for ur sake a fusable link

Are you pulling the arm all the way back up. If not, the ignition is still on and you could be draining the battery. also check the alternator, they can short out on the inside. The solenoid is on the right fender well, do you have the single wire on the correct post

Some vehicles will allow you to start and drive (temporarily) by switching the ignition key between 'Off' and 'Run' or 'On' several times (common is three) in quick succession. You would however, at least have to repeat it every time you wished to start the car. Disabling the security system could be quite difficult since they really are intended to make a vehicle unusable.

I HAVE AN 88 FORD F150 2X4 302 AUTOMATIC, IT TURNS OVER BUT WON'T START. I'VE CHANGED THE PLUGS, WIRES,CAP,ROTOR,COIL,VOLTAGE SENDING UNIT,AND COMPUTER , WHY WON'T IT START.

You need to go to the basic big three. Fuel , spark, and compression. For now, check for spark. If you have that, then fuel would be the next thing to check for. If this vehicle is fuel injected, check the inertia switch. very common problem that this switch is tripped cutting off fuel. Let me know the answer to these, and if you haven't found the problem yet, we'll dig deeper.

Its likely your starter is bad and drawing too much power
from your battery to start .
Have advance auto check the amperage draw of the
starter while cranking , its free.

engines don't jump time
the ticking can be a problem hydraulic lifter or faulty rocker

1989 ford bronco 302 fuel injected timing

on the bad gas part I would recommend to get some STP gas treatment with injector cleaner to put into the gas tank
try a salvage yard that has a 302 engine like yours and change the whole distributor because the shaft could be bad on that end
