Bleed the brakes and see if it goes away.
if you add fluid as your brakes wore down when they compressed the calipers in the fluid pushes back into the reservoir causing it to overfill. is it leaking out the top?or from where the lines connect? do they feel spongy?your breaks shouldn't grab per say you have anti lock brakes so you should get a pulsation when you hit them hard. if you have a leak in the reservoir you could have sucked in some air.causing a loss of hydraulic pressure.have you noticed your fluid level drop significantly? hope i helped you figure it out or gave you some kinda clue.

Master cylinder and/or brake booster could be the problem. A tiny bit of air in the system will effect your braking abilty. A fault in the ABS system would prompt the computer to trigger the ABS light. If you have brake shoes on the rear, make sure they are properly adjusted. Hope this helps.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Brake Shoe and Lining
Remove brake master cylinder filler cap (2162). Check fluid level in brake master cylinder reservoir (2K478) . Remove brake fluid until brake master cylinder reservoir is half full. Discard removed fluid.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Remove wheel and tire assembly from front disc brake rotor mounting face. Use care to avoid damage or interference with disc brake caliper (2B120) , front disc brake rotor shield (2K004) or front wheel knuckle (3K185) .
Remove rear brake pin retainers (2N386).
NOTE: It is not necessary to disconnect hydraulic connections.
Lift disc brake caliper from front disc brake caliper anchor plate (2B292) and front disc brake rotor (1125) . Do not pry directly against metal caliper piston or damage will occur.
NOTE: To prevent damage, do not allow disc brake caliper to hang by the front brake hose (2078) .
Position disc brake caliper out of the way.
Remove inner outer brake shoe and lining (2001) assembly from front disc brake caliper anchor plate .
Inspect both rotor braking surfaces. Minor scoring or buildup of lining material does not require machining or replacement of front disc brake rotor.
remove the 2 pins, #10 in pic. Usually has a dust cover over pin accessopening. Usually torx haed or hex head bolts (pins).
Jack up the front of the truck and support it with jackstands. Remove the front wheel.
Remove the caliper assembly and support it on the frame with a piece of wire (or something equally secure) without disconnecting the brake fluid hose.
Remove the hub and rotor assembly.
Install the rotor in the reverse order of removal, and adjust the wheel bearing as outlined in Section 1.
F-Super Duty with 4-Wheel Disc Brakes
The hub and rotor are individual pieces, allowing the rotor to be replaced independently. The front and rear rotors are the same and are attached with 10 bolts and washers. The bolts are tightened a little at a time, in a crisscross fashion, to an ultimate torque of 74–89 ft. lbs. (100–121 Nm).
hello, check make sure, emergency brake handle is all the way down, check brake fluid, usually when light comes on you are low on brake fluid, also have front brakes,rear brakes checked out, you may need new brakes on front or rear, make sure there is know brake fluid leaking from your master cyclinder under the hood where you put fluid in brake resivor
On either the front or back you should have a bleeder valve on the inside of the wheel drum or rotor Its usually a 5/16 loosen a bit till fluid leaks out and have someone slowly step on the brake pedal till hits the floor, tighten back up, pump the brakes, and repeat procedure until no more air comes out of bleeder valve.
The hard part is pressing the caliper piston abck into the caliper so you can get the new, thicker pads over the rotor. A large C Clamp works best.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Pads —Front Disc Brake
Remove the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to Section 204-04 .
Remove the front disc brake caliper bolts. torx bit. T20?
Support the front disc brake caliper from the front strut and spring assembly using mechanics wire.
Remove the front disc brake pads.
Remove the outboard front disc brake pad.
Remove the inboard front disc brake pad.
CAUTION: Make sure the master cylinder reservoir does not overfill and spill brake fluid while retracting the front disc brake caliper piston. NOTE: It is necessary to fully retract the front disc brake caliper piston in the bore before installing the front disc brake pads. Install the front disc brake pads.
Install the inboard front disc brake pad.
Install the outboard front disc brake pad.
Caution. The outer pads are left and right. put left on driver side.
Position the front disc brake caliper on the front-wheel knuckle and install the brake caliper pin bolts.
WARNING: It is necessary to depress the brake pedal several times to position the front disc brake caliper piston before driving the vehicle.
look inside all wheels and under car for break fluid, you may have a wheel cyl.leaking or a busted break line, or the resavor may have got low enought to trigger the light. if no visable signs of fluid leaks, take it to a local auto parts store and have them hook there scanner up and turn your break light off for you (unless you can disconnect battery to erase the break light i don't know). you may have just triggered the switch for (to low fluid.)
