This is an OBD1 module located under the dash:
1st turn off the ignition.
2. Use a jumper wire between the ground terminal "A" top right and the diagnostic terminal "B" second from top right.
3. Turn the ignition to on but DO NOT START ENGINE.
The "Service engine light" soon will flash the code 12 - one flash followed by 2 short flashes. it will repeat then pause followed by yuor trouble codes flash.
Hope this helps

you don't cross any wires. there is a rectangular plug BLACK mounted at the bottom edge under the dash around your left knee. this a mounted plug that is open it looks like it is ready to receive a male plug. this is the OBD1 . & has 12 slots but only 7 are wired (5 are missing terminals inside the plug) you need to get a small length of solid wire (paper clip works) and jumper it between position A & B. the plug terminals are as shown:

    F E -C B A

Rember if you disconnect the battery you loose all your codes!

get your codes 1st. they will be in type of morris code on the dash in a series of blinks of the service engine soon light. Count the blinks. a long pause will seperate multiple codes. the codes will start and end with the code 12 flashed as noted above. .

Getting error code U0414 P0118,P2060F what does that mean and what parts do I need to change for my ford escape 2008

With all these codes you need a professional to help fix this, you will likely throw parts at it and still not fix it. If you do want to try a repair at very least go on eBay and try and find a used factory repair manual set. If you google each code the explanation of the code will show, but it will only give you a system of the car, that means it can be a sensor or a part or the wiring or the computer that runs the system. Good luck

Some cars have a sensor that turns off power to the fuel pump in an accident. It's possible that this was tripped while body work being done. Could also be a broken wire

Ecm bcm error code f32 was on smelled something burning now its not coming on and car has been stalling

You may have more than one problem.
The code F32 is for a problem between the engine computer and the body computer, or a loss of memory. To fix that someone would need to check the ground connections and the harness between the two computers.
The engine could be burning coolant like the head gasket problem you mentioned.

Found this for you on the web. Good luck.

What is code 43?

Code 43 is "fuel supply system."

This code will trip when the ECU and the readings from the o2 sensor don't get along(in layman's term or easy enough for Si Speed to understand biggrin.gif) read the above two threads).

How to diagnose and fix?

First things first, when was the last time you changed your O2 sensor? Start by replacing that first because most likely, that's the main culprit. Now, you may wonder why doesn't the CEL indicate code 41(heated o2 sensor)? Usually when the o2 sensor is completely dead, that code will trip. Also, even though the o2 sensor is working, the voltage or ground isn't 100% Because of that, it will correlate with code 43.

If replacing the o2 sensor did not help code 43 to disappear, next thing is to replace your fuel filter. A clogged fuel filter will also trip code 43.

Next up, did you install an aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator? I have a few friends with 3rd gen Preludes and both of them installed aftermarket FPR's and they too, trip code 43. Him and a lot of people who install aftermarket FPR's mess with the PSI and that will cause code 43 to appear(on a stock ECU mind you). Bring it back to stock PSI to help fight code 43.

Those are the 3 main culprits that will cause code 43 from my experiences. Injectors, spark plugs & wires, most likely anything "fuel' related that isn't working properly will also cause code 43.

P0601 is an internal PCM failure. It is not passing one of it's self-tests and the code sets. The only fix for this code is to replace the PCM.

Looses Power when on long trip pulling camper or trailer flagging oxygen Sensors error

Sounds like a fuel problem. Change the filter and have the fuel pressure checked. A fuel problem can cause an O2 code.

Aha! Found a fix, at least to my problem.

Try pressing the trip odometer reset button for 5 seconds. It will flash an error code. Then the odometer lights will flash, a bunch of error codes flash. Let it finish (my problem was that I tried to start the car the first time before it finished).
