Have you figured this out? I'm having a very similar problem. I'm hoping it's not the transmission.

At a steady 65 mph, the torque converter clutch (TCC) is engaged. When you accelerate, the ECU disengages the TCC to gain extra torque for acceleration and then re-engages TCC when speed is steady. Its kind of like having an extra gear.

Yeah, the Volvo dealer that you are dealing with is the proverbial POS - if possible cancel the deal, get your dinero back and get the car from an outfit that can properly service the vehicle.

if u dont change the feul filtre it will get worse. when adding cleaners and additives to your gas tank it cleans and puts all the dirt and crud in the fuel filtre thus making it hard for the feul pump to pump the exact psi for the rating of your car

The RPM of Nissan Altima stays high when drive over 65 MPH.

No....the rpms differ from engine to engine and from manufacturer to manufacturer. RPM's are always higher at higher speeds.

Speedometer Gauge Slipping - Inaccurate Reading

I had a car that did this to me. It started happening last year so I took it in and they were baffled. Lesson learned never take a car to a big chain store for a difficult diagnosis. They just told me to let my car warm up for 5 minutes and it would be fine. If I let it warm up it was good. This winter it started doing it again but it would do it all the time even after I let it warm up. I never bothered bringing it in again because it was dieing. If you are truly concerned take it into a mechanic ( a good one) and have them diagnose it. Your spedometer cable could just be wearing out.
