1993 Dodge Shadow...left turn signal won't flash

Hi all-

We have a 1993 Dodge Shadow. Whenever we select the left turn signal, neither the left front nor left rear turn signal lights flash. They just stay on steady. We tried changing the bulbs and that didn't work. Further, both reverse lights do not work when we select reverse gear with the shifter. Both reverse light filaments seem to be in one piece so I doubt that it is the bulbs although I guess that is possible. The hazard lights flash normally, as do the right turn signals.

I've checked all of the associated fuses and they look good. I found the relay and flasher module behind the fuse box by referring to the car's manual but the only relay/flashers on it are labled "horn relay," "ignition time delay relay," and "hazard warning flasher," which I assume have nothing to do with the turn signal flashers.

Where shoud I go with trying to solve the problem?

Thanks!

Do you happen to know where that flasher unit is on the '93 Dodge Shadow? The only 3 flashers referenced in the manual are "horn relay," "ignition time delay relay," and "hazard warning flasher." I assume there's a separate unit for the turn signals.

If you have trouble finding signal flasher, turn your right side blinker on, and follow clicking noise to flasher.

If the fuses are good and the front and rear bulbs are good, change the flasher for the turn signals, even tho the right is working. If that doesn't fix the problem, it might be in the turn sgnal switch on the steering column.
If both bulbs are good for the backup lights and fuses are good, then the backup light switch, which is screwed into the side of the transmission has to bad.

2004 Dodge Durango limited. Turn signals are not working properly. They have an irregular flash pattern. All the bulbs are working. Any ideas? Where is the flasher relay located?

There is no flasher relay on your vehicle. Turn signals are selected by the multifunction switch (left side of the steering column), but the lights are operated by 'drivers' in the front control module. This unit is in the left front part of the engine compartment, below the power distribution panel. But you cannot change just the 'drivers', if bad, the whole module needs to be replaced.

Where is the turn signal flasher on a 1993 Dodge Shadow

Hi Linda,
These flasher units are usually sited on the engine bulkhead (firewall). It might be worth your while to invest in a Haynes manual. See : Haynes is the information resource for the DIY enthusiast

The right hand turn signal will not flash. The left works, and I have checked both front and rear bulbs. What could be the remedy?

under the dash there is a flasher goto auto zone and get one and ask them to show you where the old one is.

Left turn signal

Hi my name is Tom and I am here to help you.

Turn signals flash rapidly if your say left signal circuit is not getting enough voltage. Check and clean all the contacts both front and rear systems. Make sure that the sockets the bulbs go into are clean. Check after you clean and the flasher should slow down and you lights should be brighter. Simply put the 12 volt lights are only getting a lot less than 12 volts.

If I can be of further assistance please call or mail me

Turn signals dont work hazzards do and also the brake lights work

check all bulbs first, check your flasher, should be under dash near or on fuse panel, also check your fuses. It is hard to help you any further without more info, I do hope this may help you figure it out though. Good Luck
