Can't help you
What happened to the shop that did
the work,why can't they resolve
Those issues are from either not changing your
oil enough or failed VVT Cam Actuators, sometimes
the chain guides wear but not on a 2006,too new
Exhaust Converters fail from leaking injector, which
is a know problem on your motor from 2004,05 & 06,
& bad COP Ignition Coils, which causes cylinder misfires
& ruins the converters
All of the issues could have been prevented & all of the
coil are bad by 6 to 7 years & both upstream oxygen
sensors need to be replaced at 100,000 miles
Too bad your not my neighbor, you won't have one problem
The transmission will fail next, from not changing the fluid every
3 years
I happen to know the vehicle & ford/lincoln issues
Exhaust Converters last 14 years & still pass emissions
inspection if your proactive & road test & take a scanner
with you a 2 or three times a year & look at all data parameters
& keep an eye on things
Just to drive any vehicle with todays technology & never look
at data or do preventative maintenance or know what is needed
& stay up to date using the internet every month, your going to
have problems & serious ones at times
I've checked the timing and and corrected the issue of it being a tooth on the right hand cam. and also i have cranked the engine and it had a slight shake like a skip almost so i started pulling each coil wire loose to see if it would change anything and all of them the way the motor ran as it should. now that being said i pulled some plug back out of each side and drivers side were dry but passenger were not. could injectors be the problem on that side? throws code p2196 for rich on right side sensor one so i know O2 sensors are working properly
When you say you checked something whom are you referring to. I assumed all work was done at t a repair shop. You don't pull coils off on todays igniton technology with the motor running or your going to have issues. o say some plug that you don't understand is also asking for trouble. None of that is a diagnostic test & could lead to ruining your pcm. Someone is working like your back in the 1980's. Yes you could have a bad & leaking injector & you need to have a very skilled technican take over with the proper test equipment & procedures to be doing any testing. You on the edge of creating a serious problem from improper testing. I'm think you have to determine what the main one or two issues are & look at the data. I wouldn't rule out the cam actuators & do you not have codes to work with or wasn't a scan tool used to look at al the parameters. Without that your done.
You have no idea what the O2 Sensors are doing until you look at switching times on a scope. i have had codes on my lincoln dohc & the old & new sensors looked the same as far as voltage until you looked at switching times then the problem & why the codes were set was obvious.
On a 2006 all the COP Ignition Coils will be bad & act up when ever they want to So are you going into FailSafe & shutting off from a Class A cylinder misfire. You need really good professional help, someone who likes fords is a must

SOURCE: Need to reset the oil change indicator, changed oil myself

SOURCE: 2004 Navigator engine shuts off while in drive or reverse
crude in the catlic convertor will cause this problem when hitting the bump in the road u are jarring it loose should have exhaust system check out

Use 5W-20W synthetic oil and a Ford filter. Try it afterwards and see if it makes the difference.
Contact the dealer about checking the "Cam Phasers" which have a limited recall. The wrong oil can mess up the timing. The Cam parts may be going and this is an early indication.
SOURCE: 2006 Lincoln Navigator, goes for weeks with no
Turning over is cranking
You mean will not start !!
Given it is 5 years old
Change the Spark Plugs,if you haven't
Change both front O2 Sensors at 100,000 miles
Clean the MAF Sensor --CRC MAF Cleaner
Next -- TEST the TPS Sensor on throttle body
It is replacable. (2) T20 Torx screws and a hair
dryer to soften the thread locker
You may be loosing the throttle position on start up
Then check fuel pressure, at the fuel rail on engine,
also if your not going to work on it yourself, have the TPS
and Fuel Pump looked at with an Oscilloscope
The fuel pump may be going bad
SOURCE: how do you replace the fuel relay on a 2006 lincoln navigator
Its inside the fuel pump assembly. Unfourtunetly, you cannot buy it alone. You have to replace the entire fuel pump assembly (unless you can find the assembly at a junk yard and then take out the relay.
Good luck!
