Question about 1997 Ford Contour
After a engine light test i was told the speed sensor is faulty. will this stop the trans from shifting?
A speed sensor will prevent the trans from shifting if the odemeter isn't working because if the speed sensor is bad and the odemeter and speedometer isn't working the trans has no ideal what gear to be in

No this would not stop the tranny from shift, it may shift slowly and harshly but it should shift
