Where is the horn relay? We will check this, but the fuse is good.

Horn wont work

Have you checked your fuses? Your horn fuse should most likely be under your steering wheel on the left hand side wall, near the front driver door. look for a lil door to pull off and that's where you fuses are. Look at the diagram and see if you find horn fuse, pull that fuse out and inspect if it is good. careful in doing so the fuses are sometimes hard to get out. Fuses are also located under the hood near the driver side door.

The horn button on the steering wheel is not working on a 1998 sunfire GT

  • Check the fuse first and if the fuse is good checked the connection of the wire in your horn button and make sure that the negative wire is properly connected.
  • After you perform this and still the same check the horn maybe the connection on the horn is not properly connected.
  • If you have additional questions feel free to reply to this solution.

Horn not working, have checked the inside fuse and the one under the hood.

As long as it is getting power to the single wire connected to the horn and a good ground it is probably locked up.
Have someone depress the horn, locate the unit under the hood typically behind the grille and try to wiggle it to reassure a good ground, If that produces nothing firmly tap the horn unit with a screwdriver handle or similar device15-50 times. If no sound is heard I would get a test light to make sure it is getting power. With the horn still depressed and probing the wire at the unit make sure the test light has a good ground (engine bolt, strut bolt, battery's negative post, etc.) If light illuminates let off of the horn button if light goes off the horn unit is locked up and should be replaced with another one from a junk yard or from tour local parts store (Auto Zone) If all that fails the problem is in the steering wheel or the associatve wiring, don't forget to re-check the fuses if all this fails.

If the horn fuse ( Fuse #26 ) is installed and has power on both sides of the fuse, you might want to check that the horn connector is still on the horns.

The horn relay is not serviceable in the fuse panel.

You can test the horn connector for power, the Yellow w/ Light Green wire, when the horn button is pressed.

2005 ford taurus horn just doesn't work. I've

The problem can be with the horn pad, the horn relay or the horn itself. Find your horn relay, it should be in the engine compartment fuse box. Remove the relay and test for power at the legs. there should be two legs that have power. If there is power there, take the cover off the relay and plug it back in. Squeez the relay points together and see if the horn works. If the horn still does not work, it is probably the horn itself. If it does work it is probably the horn pad, but you don't want to mess with that because of the air bag. Let a pro do it.

All of this is predicated on the fact that you have checked all the fuses.

Hope this helps
