Question about Ford Explorer Sport Trac
I have a 2004 Ford Sport Track Explorer, 4.0, 2wd with 110,000 miles. Should I be worried about the timing belt going bad? How much would it cost me to change the belt?
You have a 4.0L SOHC engine which has 4 timing chains. No belts. The only thing you have to worry about is the chain tensioners breaking. You'll get engine noise at idle from underneath or it'll sound like pinging at 2200 to 2700 rpms.
