We have a 2004 Hummer H2 and the blower motor resistor broke back in October 2008. We spent the past 6 months with no HEAT or AC. We now live in Vegas and statrting next wek for the next 6 months the temp. will be 90-120 degrees and we NEED AC. We have contacted 8 Hummer dealerships and they all say that no one makes the part and we are pretty much out of luck. We have also checked and it seems that we can not use an aftermarket "Blower Motor Resistor" for our 2004 H2. Do you have any recommendations?

Find an auto recycler (junkyard) and ask for the part. It should cost less than a new part. Auto recyclers have been inter-connected for years so if one does not have it they will contact others. You can even do the search yourself on the internet.

2004 crown vic. only 63K miles on her. AC/heat fan was sporadically working, now its done. AC was nice and cold, working fine. Is the fan a hard replacement if I were to find one at a parts yard?

Try to check the power and ground on the blower fan. If you missing the ground on the blower fan connector than most likely it is the blower fan resistor (controller), it is located under the hood close to back firewall behind left cylinder head.

2003 h2 blower keeps running after truck has been turn off.

You need a new blower motor resistor module! I have replaced so many of those for that problem. I also recommend replacing the blower motor at the same time because it is the amperage draw of a motor starting to go out that overloads the resistor module into a constant on concern.
I hope this info helps!~subyguru~

For the past month or so i have only had on on my blower for my ac and heat settings 1 2 3 has stopped workin i was told its a easy cheap fix i just dont know what it exactly is and where its exactly...

follow the wires back from the blower motor. The wires from the blower motor should plug into it. That is the part you need to change. Called the blower motor resistor

Ac in 2006 hummer went out without warning

I am a Service Advisor for a Hummer Dealer. I can tell you that we have seen some of the 06 h3's with the same problem you are having. The blower motor resistor and harness will probably need to be replaced. The connectors on these have a tendency to melt. If you are still in factory warranty, it will be covered under your warranty, otherwise at the dealer the repair runs around $650.00 parts and labor. Hope this helps.

AC/Heat stopped blowing air. How much to fix?

Check the fuse panel, for a blown fuse. If that's not it, find the wire that powers the blower motor, it is usually visible in the engine compartment firewall area. Test to see if power is getting to the motor, if it is replace the blower motor. Usually not a hard job.

AC BLOWER FAN STAYS ON IN MY HUMMER H2 (2003) AFTER IGNITION IS SWITCHED OFF- WHY WOULD THIS OCCUR?...

When does it go off (the fan). I assume it does, sooner or later, go off? Some blowers (high-end vehicles) stay on a little longer to clear moisture, but if this just started (hasn't happened since day one) then I would assume it is a short (pray it isn't) or the blower cutoff relay/blower motor relay. If neither relay is available for that car, it could be built-in to the motor. Then, try to unhook the motor and put a tester on the connection plug going into the motor and see if you can get power with the car on, and watch it disappear once the car is turned off, that indicates it is the motor or the resistor atop the motor.

2006 H3 Hummer Ac/Heater fan motor will work great and run, the next time I start and drive not come on at all. Then sometimes after driving about 15 min just kick on and run and do great.

I brought my 2006 H3 in to the dealer for the same thing. My blower stopped working all together but it started as an intermittent problem. He said he had to replaced a diode or resistor either behind the switch on the dash that controls the fan or on the fan motor itself. Have not had a problem since but that was only about 4 months ago.
