There might be a crossed wire somewhere and thats causing the problem, i had the same thing, soemtimes if the wire inside the cover gets a surge it will melt all the other wires around it leaving it alone, some of these wires might have crossed and thats causing ur problem.

My 2002 Pontiac Bonneville won't start all I get is a clicking noise when I turn the key

First thing to do is to test the battery. Do this by turning on the lights or radio and then try starting it. If the battery is weak when you try to start it the lights will dim or go out completely. If so replace the battery. If the lights stay bright the problem is probably in the solenoid or starter itself. The clicking you are hearing should be the solenoid on the starter trying to engage and most likely doesn't have enough power in the battery to start the car. If you are not mechanical or don't have the right tools you will have to find someone to replace the starter and solenoid. If you end up only changing the battery make sure to hook battery jumper cables or a battery charger to the cable connections to retain power to the car when you remove the battery. This is so your radio doesn't have to be reset by entering the code to the radio. If you don't have a charger or jumper cables, then make sure you have the radio code to reset your radio before disconnecting your battery or you will be disappointed when the new battery goes in and your radio keeps asking for you to enter the code and it won't work.

Car not starting

could be many things,
Neutral saftey switch-Try it in neutral or jiggle the shifter in park.
Battery connection-Have somebody watch, turn on the headlights,
try to start,if the lights go out it's a battery connection,if they stay
bright,they are ok.
Starter brushes -Hole the key to stary while somebody raps the starter
Not beat on it but sometimes if the brushes are getting worn a rap
will seat them enough to run,if that happens it's starter time!!
A few things to try anyway, good luck.

Battery Won't stay charged, and won't charge either.

So you got a new battery, alternator, and starter. The ticking noise with the starter meant that you had a bad battery so I don't think you needed to have replaced it, but since it was under warranty, didn't hurt.

As for the battery itself when tested, it should not read 10V as that means it's not holding a charge. The battery should read 12-12.5Volts across the leads when the car is off. When the car is running, the battery should be reading 13-14Volts across the leads, anything lower means the alternator is not charging your battery, anything higher means the alternator is over charging.

Will not start

Sounds like the MAIN FUSE has blown .
I would check the MAIN FUSE in the fuse box under the hood. It's going to be the one with the most amps. It might be 80 amps or so.

Here we go. Battery is dieing, had the battery checked it's good, had the alternator checked it's good, had the starter checked he said the solenoid bad, replaced starter. Still have the problem. Checked...

RAP stands for Retained Accessory Power. It is the circuit responsible for powering accessories when the key is off. Sounds like something is staying on that shouldn't. Hard to say what though with the information here. if this started happening right after you put in the new radio i would check into that. otherwise start checking accessories like power mirrors, seats, locks and see it something is staying on that shouldnt. i good one to check would be the glove box light or the light under the hood. you can unplug them and then test your draw to see if thats where is was.
