    a steering wheel puller

Is that something I may be able to borrow from an autozone?

Thank you - do you think the S10 would have metric bolts that screw into the stering wheel and do you know what size they would be?

Take the cover off the wheel remove the center nut and you will have to get a steering wheel puller and crank that down on the center screw until the wheel comes off and then once you have the switch in just get the steering wheel in place and have it where you can catch a few threads and tighten it back down

High beam goes out when driving

I would replace the turn signal lever switch, it's a common issue with the switches that have many features on them (e.g. cruise control, wiper control, high/low beam). When you experience this again you can try by tapping the base of the steering wheel and the lights may turn on but just temporarily.

Wipers not working

Could be a relay. Look at your wiring diagram. Swap relay with one of the same number, see if it cures the problem.

02 TB, cruise control works intermittently, now wipers wont come on

Debbie, this sounds to me to be the control arm that turns your wipers on and also has the cruise control operation also on the lever, When this wears out you can have weird symptoms, sometimes the wipers will work and the cruise wont and sometimes the other way around. On the starting issue, it sounds like the ignition switch on the column is worn out sometimes making contact and sometimes not. If the vehicle has a ton of miles on it these plastic parts wear out and need replacing.

it's possible that you've got a faulty multifunction switch. the switch on the left side of the steering wheel that controls the wipers and cruise control.

I removed the tilt steering colum housing to instal a new cruise

The plastic piece goes between the steel rod and cruise/wiper lever. You will have to remove the wheel and the upper bearing housing to get it back where it goes. If you put some wheel bearing grease on it then it will stay in place during reassembly.. Good Luck
