2003 Hyundai Tiburon Passenger Power Window Problem

My passenger window kind of has a mind of its own , it will work now and then but then it will randomly just not go back up. Neither switch(driver or passenger side) will work to bring it back up. I will still hear the clicking sound when i pull up on the button but there is no response at all. Its almost as if there is a connection going through and it isn't being received, and when it does work , its not a smooth sound going up or down like my drivers window. I've been told that it could the switch on the door but i think it could be the motor itself. Any advice would help!

Thanks Matt

My wifes 2003 tiburon has the same problem... passenger side window has a hard time going up or down when it feels like working at all. it is the motor because i tested the for power and their is... if your a "hands on" person, you can try and change it yourself but be advised its very tricky... seperating the motor from the regulator... cable may come apart and be impossible to reconnect... its easier to take apart the motor when the windows down... and their should be 7 10mm nuts holding the motor.

I think i would agree with you on that theory because if it was the switch on the door the drivers door should operate it hope this helps regards Jim

SOURCE: 2004 Tiburon: where is the 04 hyundai tiburon 2nd fuse box?...

Hi There,

You will find the second fuse box on the right hand side of the steering wheel (australian - left hand side if in america) located underneath the power "mirrors" button. Follow the side power "mirrors" button down until you reach a false wall, unfasten this. another word for this is the "fascia"

Hope this helps

Cheers Buckaroo,
Chris

Driver's window does not close

You may need to change the window motor. According to a lemonade guide I had read, these are notorious, both driver and passenger, for going bad in the Tib. I had to change both of mine.

I replaced the driver's side window motor because

I don't know everything there is to know about window motors, but I have seen this before, both mine went out at the same time, not together but a couple weeks apart, like they were dated. Anyway, I replaced both motors, then both operators. Now they both work fine. I would hang on to the old motor, you never know, it might be good, You might have a bad switch on the door, I had to take my switches apart on my other truck and clean the contacts, got both motors working again, Hope this helps.

Passenger side window won't roll up using the driver's side switc

Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.
