Most flood vehicles are scraped
You will have to go down every wire & every circuit
looking for water damage,corrosion & test every wire
& every system & you will need factory manuals & wiring diagrams
That is not something a shop will touch or you can afford
to pay for
I think you know what has to be done as I explained
If you don't have those skills, the vehicle is done as
far as you ever using it again

Remove the four screws that secure the instrument cluster to the instrument panel Instrument Cluster Remove/Install
Pull the instrument cluster rearward to disengage the two self-docking wire harness connectors
NOTE: The instrument cluster has two self-docking wire harness connectors that will be automatically aligned with, and connected to the instrument panel wire harness when the cluster is installed in the instrument panel.
Remove the instrument cluster from the vehicle.
Reverse the removal procedures to install. Tighten the mounting screws to 2.2 N·m (20 in. lbs.)
when I turn my headlights on. All the other gauges are lit, but not the gas gauge. How do I get in there to replace the bulb and fix this? Or is it a fuse problem? I have a 1998 jeep scout Thanks

you can remove the cluster and buy the bulb separate as far as the brake light it is either the float is bad in the master cyl. or you have low frt brake pads

Common problem on BMW's apparently...there are on-line repair services but they are NOT cheap...100-300 bucks. Tough to fix yourself...unles you are a highly skilled techie!

GM has a problem with clusters but the government nor GM will do a recall on the clusters. Check ur local yellow pages for a Speedometer fix company , if u cant find one hit me back and I can find one for you.. In Houston we pay $250 for the service.
