Can someone tell me the purpose of the vents on either side on the rear of the hard top? Is it possible for these to leak water to the inside if they are loose or broken? One of mine appears to be coming off and I have noticed water in the rear corner when it rains. Thanks.
The vents are there to relieve pressure inside the cab when you close your doors. i suppose they could leak water if they're comming off since there is only a piece of rubber seperating the inside and outside

if raining 100% normal. (rag top or hard top,?)
if the HVAC condensate drain PORT under car leaks pure water again 100 % normal. on AC or defrost modes, just like a beer can is wet .
same physics,(condensation)
if water is not water but is Green Coolant that is engine leaks.hoses, or RAD or over filled recover bottle. or
top of engine V gasket front ;rear leaks or coolant pump.
bad thermostat housing leaks too or wrong inside it gasket.
or heater core to right passenger floor well, core is bad.
my 08 jeep (rag) has no body drains for rag rain failures.
but the front cowl vents do. (so as not to food out HVAC air induction ports)
but not told what water means to you? rain
condensate.
or engine coolant.
Clear the drain tubes with compressed air. one on each side of the window at the back. But they can only let so much water out. If the seal on the window is bad, they won't be able to handle all the water, will leak inside. Those seals aren't cheap and are a pain to replace. If you don't use or need it to open. Shut it and silicone it on top. This will stop your problem.
I found a ..... leak. is that what you are saying.
comma , IS IT The pump leaking.
we dont know , we cant see , try photos?
there are many ways to get leaks,
id never guess. why one anyone on something so dangerous.
have you looked yet? or just see wet pavement.
OR LOOK ABOVE BOTH TOP OF REAR TIRES.
To see top of tank? and where it leaks.?
dont park in doors, or BOOM.
out side, far from buildings say 50foot.
think about smokers and gas fired water heaters in garages.
there are 2 fuel lines
and many vents and parts that can leak , filler pipe and hose.
evap parts. lots.
ok i think what you should do is see in your with eyes were the water leak from
ask someone to poor water on the car while you sit on the back and looking for leaks
The rear ac evaporator box is not draining very well, and it is blowing the condensation up threw the vents, most likely. The drain should be under the rear passengers side wheel well.
Don't worry, it's designed that way. The owner's manual is pretty unclear about this. But the heated air only comes out the floor vents underneath the front seats and the "heat vents" at the forward and side of the rear A/C compartment near the floor. The cooled or vent air flows from the overhead vents.
