Why do alternator charge sometime and sometime don't?

From what I know about it you crank the car with the battery. When the car cranks the alternator supply's voltage to run your car and recharge the battery. I would think your alternator is working all the time your car is running. If you think it is not take the negative cable off the battery that way the alternator is the only voltage supply. If your car shuts down you know there is a issue with the alternator. Measure voltage with the cable off battery that will tell you what your alternator is putting out.

Brake light is working but not the tail light?

There are three fuses involved.
There is a 25 amp fuse before the brake switch located in the fuse box under the hood. Then there are two 15amp fuses after the brake switch in the box inside the cabin. One is for the lower brake lights and the other is for the high mount light and the trailer connector.
You would need to know if the 15amp fuse for the lower lights has power when the brake pedal switch is applied.

Does anyone know where the alternator is located in a 1999 Chrysler Concorde, 2.7

This may not be helpful, as I have not done one on that car

I see all sorts of info on the internet

You know that it is driven by one belt,
& while you may not see it,it is on the front
of the motor & according to what I read,
seeing it isn't the problem

Moving the radiator shroud,fender covers,etc
& clearance to remove a bolt or two may be

1999 Toyota Tacoma battery keeps dying

This is easy to test but you need a multimeter. Connect the multimeter to the battery and run the engine at a fast idle (say 2000 rpm). You should get a voltage reading anywhere from 14 to 15 volts if the battery is fully charged and the alternator is working. If the reading is around 12 volts, then the alternator is not working.

Left key on and killed battery. Now it dies when I come to a stop or slow down, and it doesn't idle right and dies most of the time. What can be causing this?

A discharged battery should be recharged with an external battery charger--about 2 to 3 hours with a high-current (10 to 30 amps) charger, overnight with a low-current charger (2-4 amps). Check the battery voltage after charging and the engine running--it should read about 13.5 volts if the the alternator is working. It will read 12.6 or less volts if the alternator is bad, or the fuse link is blown in the wire that runs from the alternator output to the starter solenoid connection where the positive battery cable is connected. Once the battery is charged, take the car to Autozone or similar business that will provide a free check of the battery and charging system if you don't have access to a voltmeter. Hope this helps!

Audi A4 2002 Low beams & Right front turn signal stopped working

For Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram.
First fuse on first row from left upper corner is Fuse Nr.20 = F20 (15A) - RH headlamp low beam, headlamp adjustment.
First fuse on second row from left upper corner is Fuse Nr.21 = F21 (15A) - LH headlamp low beam, headlamp adjustment.

Instrument panel went dead

Checked Every fuse in the fuse box (no small task). This includes #4 - Power point Instrument Panel, #14 - Day time running lamps (auto lamps doesn't work nor does auto lock), #27 - ignition switch run feed, #35 - Instrument Cluster, #41 - Instrument Cluster, #42 - Delayed Accessory, #45 - Ignition switch run/start feed, #102 - Door locks body security module, #103 - Ignition switch, #110 - Ignition switch, & #116 - Ignition switch. But I also check all other ones as well, they all register OK. AC panel & radio work. Turn signals work. Mileage does not work, trip computer does. So, basically, everything works except auto head-lights, auto locks, and the dash cluster (no MPH, RPM, mileage display, Fuel, Temp, Tran Temp, and Oil Pressure).
