1986 volvo 740gle runs rich black smoke and smell of gasoline

this car burns a lot of gas and smells like gasoline and also has black smoke coming out of the tail pipe. the o2 censor got changed and that didn't help. any ideas or suggestion?

Do a motor flush with SAEFOAM additive before the next oil change.
This will clean out the head and free up the rings.
Do a compression test and post the reading on the comment window.
Enigine with bad compression will not produce enough hoursepower and fail smog test.
