Lost can figure it out

Check the cam & crank position sensor. Then look at the Throttle position sensor. Finally check for intake leaks.

put a radiator flush in your expansion bottle .run it for about 20 miles. then drain and refill with 50/50 mix of anti freeze that will clean both core of your radiator and the heater core of dirt and rust. then bleed the air out. by turning the heater on full .run the engine with the expansion bottle cap off till you start to feel hot water at the hoses .then refit the cap.

i have had that problem before its most likely a dirty throttle body or a bad throttle position sensor or air idle control sensor some times cleaning the sensors will work before changing them

Go to the repair center or change ur care. Or change it's engine. But iT's engine didnt get anywhere,.,.,! Gud luck

either ist spark or fuel so to figure it out spray some starting fluid in the throttle body and see if it starts if it does and then dies then u lost fuel but if it doesnt start then u lost spark

Most likely cause is a vacuum leak, possibly the intake manifold gaskets.
Do It Yourself Diagnosis and Repair

Most likely what is happening is that either the fan/water pump is no longer being turned by the engine, which it needs the belt on for (Assuming it's a '98, not an '89), causing it to overheat, or the battery is being drained because the belt being off the alternator is causing the alternator to not turn, therefor producing no power. Make sure no shards of old belts remain, and put on the new belt. That should solve the problems.

MASS AIR FLOW CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS IF ITS DIRTY OR SKEWED .YOUR IDLE AIR INLET PASSAGES OR THROTTLE BORE IS DIRTY OR FULL OF DEPOSITS.BESURE REPLACE EGR VALVE GASKET THE OLD GASKET WILL LEAK.CHECK FOR THROTTLE PLATE THROTTLE SHAFT OR LINKAGE IS DAMAGED OR STICKING.

Try the IAC valve this regulates the idle.

What engine do you have and is it DOHC or SOHC?
