My left tail light, backup light and brake light have stop working. I have checked all the fuses and even replace one of the tail lights, do you have any suggestions on what might be the problem? There doesn't seem to be any power to the systems, but I have also checked to make sure the wiring is all still in tact. It just started yesterday after plugging in our travel trailer to the truck. All the trailer lights worker fine. Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

I have seen once before that the fuse box was bad on a 2003 Dodge 3500. I had power in and nothing out. We had to replace the box. Not cheap! Hope it is simple like a loose connection though. I think I had to pull the inner fender on the drivers side to access the bottom of the fuse box. Pain in the ****, but...

Hello.
I have a solution for you, as I see your same issue in my shop quite a bit...There are two possibilities:
You may have a broken wire. This is a very common issue.
Open up the trunk lid, and look at the hinge on the driver side. You will see a wiring harness, in a plastic tube, attached to the arm that holds th trunk lid to the car.... Remove the tubing, and follow the wires towards the back seat area. You are probably going to find a wire that has been broken, from the many actions of opening and closing the trunklid. Splice and resolder the wire, and you should be fine.
The other issue is the tallamp failure sensor may have burned out. This too is rather common. Open the trunk lid, and pull back the inner carpeting on the driver side of the trunk. Locate a small box (it will be white or blue), on a brace. The box is closer to the quater panel sheetmetal. Remove the box, and take it apart. If it looks or smells burnt, you need a new sensor.

I am having the same problem on an 04 2500hd there isa 15 amp stop light fuse inside the cab on the side of the instrument panel and a 25 amp stop light fuse under hood. you could also have a break switch issue the switch is located up on the break pedal linkage you should have power on the white wire when you push the pedal in (check with a test light) in my case I have a broken wire along the frame rail in the harness it is a light blue wire,
