Sputtering and oil lights on.

My 2005 Dodge Neon sputters when I accelerate then it stops and drives very smooth. This problem just started and it comes and goes. Can it be the fuel filter? or something else. Just had new plugs and wires put in recently. What else can I look for to fix or trouble shoot. Also my oil light stays on and sometimes turns off but usually it is on. Just had my oil changed. What can this be? I was told it is the oil switch and where is it located in this car if it can be replaced?

Since this engine is computer controlled you need to first do a OBD2 fault test with a code reader. Next check fuel pressure when it acts up.
