My car has daytime running lights but for some reason they started flickering every now and then. now they wont turn on. only my high beams are working. the fuses are ok, and the bulbs are also good. could my dimmer switch be the problem??

This is usually the headlight switch that causes this problem, burned connector to switch or contacts in switch or both.

How do I get the low beams to run automatically whenever driving instead of flickering?

if you did it yourself and did not use factory lights or ballast then it could be a voltage detection problem. If you did use factory parts then the headlight switch may have failed by coincidence. also check connections at HL plugs and or switch. ???????????

My headlights wont work on lower beams

I was told it is a relay switch under the dash called a daytime running light changeover relay. Its the only large rectangular relay 1 1/2 x 3 inches. My daytime running lights dont come on either when starting the car along with low beam, I'm getting this at a dealer tommorrow I can let you know if that does it.

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.

perhaps i missed something here... lowbeams and daytime lights are about the same.... be that as it may... the merely obvious thing is that the low beams are burnt out.... next thing would be that the relay for the day time lights could be defective... it's often mounted on the firewall.
