My power windows won't operate. I have checked the switch;good, the fuse;good, motor ''clicks'' when switch is actuated. What should I try next?
After checking the fuse and wiring harness, I removed the motor and tested it. The motor was working fine; I then tried moving the window up and down manualy and with a great deal of resistance
was able to move it. I then used liquid wrench on the pivot points and was able to get the window to
move. Then I lubricated the tracks and rollers with lithium grease and put the door back together
and now both windows are in perfect working order. I did have to repeat the process for both sides.
I should mention the T-bird had been garaged for a number of years so apparently the original lubricant had dried out.
Thanks for the interest and I hope my experience helps someone in the future.
Thanks again,
