Hi Marvin,I just watched this video on your gas cover not releasing,it seems a lot of these Camrys do this. The part that releases it comes loose, here's a video showing you how to fix.Seems it will be easier with 2 people doing it. How to fix fuel tank door opening system Toyota Camry
Which fuse were you checking? There are two fuses in the trunk release circuit - one underhood (ALDL) which feeds the trunk/fuel door release circuits via the valet switch and also the ALDL circuit; and one under the back seat (BODY fuse) for the trunk release.
Unfortunately, relay control signals for these releases run through the IPM (Instrument Panel Integration Module) which handles the release buttons on the dash, and the RIM (Rear Integration Module), which receives these signals from the IPM and handles them and the trunk release button on the keyless remote.
If the fuel door release is working at the dash and the trunk release is not, the ALDL fuse should be OK and the problem may still be with the BODY fuse, trunk release relay or wiring. If that isn't the problem, then I suggest you check for IPM and RIM DTC's (error codes).
its usually pretty straight forward. you need the garage clicker, and usually you need to hold down the receiver button in your car then press the garage door clicker and there should be an indication that it was stored. if this still doesnt help call caddy dealer im sure they can walk you through it over the phone.
Next time get a car that doesn't have so many electronics on it. The more there is of that, you will always have a problem. Try the fuses. Open the door panel and look at all of the wiring. That's all I have.
Everything I'm seeing suggests that the 2007 Cadillac DTS gas tank can only be opened with the remote. It's a common complaint.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Original Launch X431 Master English Version
I have a aveo with the steering on the right side (in india we drive on the left lane). when you open the driver door you will find a removable section on the dasboard that touches the door when closed. you can see it only when the driver door is open. this is where the fuse is located.
The gas door flap may have a locking device that is wired to the central locking and keyless remote fob.
Make sure all of the doors are unlocked and it should allow you to open the gas cap door.
