Replace the pickup coil, it under the distributer cap. that should resolve the problem.

1994 chevy z71 k1500 4x4 have a crank no start replaced fuel pump relay now have fuel now have no spark! RELPACED plugs no spark hwlp ?

no spark at all spark plugs and the main spark COIL 1 terminal?
1994 is old car, old old Chevy OBD1 PCM.
check all fuses first
then see the service manual, to do the DLC jumper wire trick
to get the FLASH codes out of the PCM.(ECM)
steps
The Assembly Line Diagnostic Link (ALDL) connector or Data Link Connector (DLC)
jumper A to B
KEY ON, not started
The Service Engine Soon or Check Engine light should be flashing.
if CEL lamp bulb is dead,it must be replaced.in IP cluster
The code(s) stored in memory may be read through counting the flashes of the dashboard warning lamp. The dash warning lamp should begin to flash Code 12.
Code 12 NOT and error, all others seen are DTC errors.
if none happen crank engine for 5 seconds, release key see errors now.
42/43 code bad spark see manual
21./22 bad TPS

not told you is what the big spark coil does all by itself
if your Distrib has HEI, the coil main HV is buried inside..
tricky to test.
if spark really dead. the whole rebuilt distrib is best.cure.
NO ENGINE of 5 told and is an Engine question, above is 94 generic.
here are 4 gas engines then with external spark coil pack
we take a new spark wire and plug.
connect it to HVcoil pack tower lugs.
ground the spark plug shell
and crank test the coil, for spark if fails
bad fuses
bad dizzy
bad ecm
or bad coil and is less cost than all but fuses.

I have a 1995 dodge van which wont start due to no spark I have tested right at the coils sec. I do have injector pulse but no pulse at ign coils primary there is power at primary of coil at first we...

A test light connected across the coil primary leads should flash on + off when engine cranks(coil sparks when 12v turned OFF due to collapse of magnetic field). If you get pulsed 12 volts, and no spark from the coil, the coil is bad.If you don't get the pulsed 12 volts, trace back to find out why(the PCM turns the coil ground on and off,12 volts comes from switched IGN source)

I am not getting spark out of two of the 6 coil posts, I have changed the coil but still no spark from the same two positions. 2000 Dodge caravan 3.3

check or replace your crankshaft sensor. this senses notches on the crankshaft that tells the coil when to spark. follow the wire from the coil pack back to it. if the sensor and the crankshaft gear are ok, you have a computer issue.

96 Dodge Dakota .....NO SPARK

you should have power on one terminal of the coil connector when cranking engine,i prefer using a test light..put the lead of your test light on battery positive and check other coil connector terminal..it should flash/pulse..if it is,you need an ignition coil..if not,you may have an engine controller problem..also check harness near controller and fuseblock for corroded wires..controller may not be powered up properly

I have a 2000 dakota 4cyl 2 wheel drive , driving through parking lot yesturday stalled , no start cranks ok good power to coil , good fuel pressure, inj pulse ok, coil saw cracked , installed new coil ,...

The purge solenoid is in the emmissions system not the ignition system. Part # 4669475AB list for $34.80
It should have 2 or 3 hoses going to it located in the back of the engine compartment. First check to see if maybe one of your hoses came loose or off which would cause your vehicle to do this. Try this solenoid before tearing open your distributor.

Lost ignition...turns over but no spark

make sure that the distributor module is ok first.Check that the ign coil is getting a pulse signal when engine is turning, and check ecm fuse and that engine is grounded to frame.

Location of spark plugs in 2005 dodge dakota

To change the sparks on a 2005 4.7L Dodge Dakota you will need the following:
  • Spark plug socket
  • Ratchet
  • Torque wrench
  • Extension
  • Flat-tip screwdriver
  • Make sure the truck is cold!!!

Note you will have to remove the air intake located at the top of the engine, and will have to move some of the coolant lines out of the way.

At the top of the engine there are 4 sparks on each side. The coils are held in place with a 10mm bolt. Undo the 10mm bolt and unclip the coil. Next pull out the coil.

Insert the socket, with extension into the spark plug hole.

Remove spark plug.

Check the gap on new spark plug, it should match stock.

tighten to approximately 25ft.lbs. (check spark-plug packaging for exact torque requirements).

repeat this process with all other sparks.

be sure that no dirt gets into the spark plug holes.
