Darcy, there isn't a typical radiator cap like on other cars. You'll have to fill it into the overflow reservoir.
Fill it to the MAX line. If you are doing this after a full flush, make sure you bleed the air out: After filling the reservoir tank, start the engine, drive for a few miles(make sure you get pretty high RPMs a couple times). After the engine cools, check the coolant level again, fill it back to MAX.

SOURCE: car will start but won't stay running

Hi!
I'm presuming the B23 engine? Have you checked fuel pressure valve located on the inlet manifold, are your plugs getting soaked in fuel?
If not try looking at the Fuel relay in the block situated behind the ash tray below the Radio.
It might be easier for you to access this by taking out the coin tray, flip the cover plate off the cigar lighter it will reveal 2 screws, take that out and the tray then you'll see a whole lot more relays.
There are different types/colours I'm guessing your could be Blue but there are white ones too.Try Jiggling them carefully then crank the engine if it runs but poorly replace.
You must replace with correct one even if it is Blue some have Copper Lugs others steel and they are different.
Good Luck!

SOURCE: 1992 Volvo 740 Wagon w/o Turbo: Timing Belt Needs Replaced

It is a right hand thread and you usually need an impact gun. Take the fan out of the way, to give you more room, I have found that helps.

Remove top coolant line on radiator

You can look at this 2 ways. If the hose is bound to the old radiator, it may be rotted in place and a poor candidate for reuse. You can always take the other end of the hose off of the motor and pull the hose off with the radiator. Then you can try to twist off the hose once the radiator is out of the vehicle.

Place your bucket under the drain nossle and open that up. Let the coolant drain. When finished close both nossles.

If the radiator has not been replaced before or if it was put back the right way. Youre radiator hose clamps will be facing downward. Use some long needle mpse pliers to remove hose clamps and then remove the radiators hoses from radiator. Keep collection bucket under.

Once both sides of radiator hose are removed. Gently lift the radiator forward and upward to release the bottom of the radiator from where it is seated and then lower the radiator out the bottom.

Reverse to install and make sure to follow factory manual for bleeding coolant system after

Is it difficult to remove a radiator from a 1996 cherokee

Radiator removal is not difficult if you pay attention to what you are doing. Difficulty depends on your skill level. (I've seen people who cant change a license plate, and some that can rebuild an engine. If you are one of the first, don't try it)You need to remove the bar that goes across the top, all hoses and lines, the plastic shroud, then without damaging it, lift it out.
Both chiltons and haynes have decent instructions.
