This model does not have timing belts, they are fitted with chains.

- Is it the V8 or V12 engine, the V12 engine should have a lifetime warranty on the chains. If you want to replace the chains your self it will not be an easy task as you will need special tools only available from BMW (well they were when I worked at BMW in 2005).Yes
