I have a 2001 nissian maxima gle i can't get it to crank over all i get is a click i checked the battery and it is good . I need to know where it is and how do i grt it off i cant see it i jacked the car up and still couldn't find it if you have a pic to show me where it is that would be great
You have problems with starter is located nearly at the end of engine (i dont remember now in righ or left), but this is your problem. service your starter and anything is ok i hope.

It could be a bad alternator. Start the car, then try disconnecting the positive battery cable to the battery after the car is running. If it stays running, the alternator is good. If the car dies, alternator no good.
Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities.
It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then
it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure
or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty
ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

If it is the one I'm thinking of-look right on top of the transaxle. like under air cleaner. might have to remove a few simple things to see. It is inserted in the bell housing facing the passengerside of the car. Hope I helped. Thanks
that sounds like you may need to replace the starter. the click you hear is the solenoid. the part that is just as important is the starter motor. unfortunately they are sold as one
