Please post the odometer reading or the miles on the transmission. You can get over 300,000 miles with NO PROBLEM.....unless you are carrying huge load. You still have a leak somewhere or it is plugged up. The brake booster is not the culprit. Find the vacuum canister and trace from there checking each line.
There is a junction block about 6 inches in front of the battery on the fender, there should be battery voltage on the big wires. The small wire is the starter solenoid. Front the junction block, the power goes to the light switch then to the ignition switch.
undo the bolts that hold the alternator on its bracket there stoping you pulling the alternator off the belt
when you have the new belt on pull belt tight and nip up all the bolts again

The filters never fir quit right. the replacement filter retaining tab does not seem tight in the valve body. just make sure that the feed tube with "o" ring is flush with valve body and snug the retaining tab to the valve body. Just make sure old "o" ring came out with old filter
