Dual Kadrons huh? I've run them on quite a few motors- they are pretty awesome on an 1835.

Here's the help site of Low Bugget- the business owned by AJ Sims, aka Mr. Kadron. It's got instructions on replacing jets, rebuilding, and all sorts of trouble shooting.

No problem- I've used the site quite a few times myself. Their jets are top notch that they sell too. You can send them your engine specs and he will send you custom sized jets specifically for your setup.

The accelerator pump adjustment procedures are really helpful too.

That would be your Accelerator pump diaphragm (part of a tune-up kit). It is a (roughly) square diaphragm that goes under the pump cover (four screws with a pivoting rod that controls the diaphragm) which is located on the right-hand side of the bottom portion (looking at the carb from the rear of the car) of all the Solex PICT carbs.
Kits are available from www.mamotorworks.com for around $15.00.
Hope this helps you.

Which is a better/more efficient carberator on a VW Super Beetle?

Check with VW performance parts suppliers, there are better choices, the stock carb is made for MPG not horsepower.
