I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the v8. When on the highway at about 45-50 mph I get a clunking type noise, but only when applying power. If I let off the gas it stops. Both front axle cv shafts were replaced. Could it be the cv propellor shaft? The noise is coming from the front.
It is full time. It has the cv style driveshaft. Didnt see any u-joints on it. It is full time. It has the cv style driveshaft. Didnt see any u-joints on it.

There is very little play at the front part of the shaft. It has cv boots at the front where it meets the differential and at the rear at the transfer case. I havent been able to find any info on this type of drive shaft.
