04 Silverado AC intermittently cools and intermittently blows. They appear to e independent of each other as any combination of the 2 can occur. IE: both working, neither working, blower working cooling not and finally blower not working and cooler working. I checked the fuses and they all seem fine. I got a sugestion when typing this in to check the blower motor so I will do that. What else should I check/try? It seems unlikely it would be a fuse since it is intermittent but I'll also double check those since that is trivially easy to do.

SOURCE: 1991 chevy g20. 5.7l v8. air conditioning does not work. the blower and switches seem to work fine but it does not cool and only blows out of defrosters.

Blowing out of the defrost is a vacuum problem. You have a leak between the motor and the heater controls. Most likely needs to have the A/C system charged up.

SOURCE: blower fan not working. AC still cooling. Not

Sure. But could also be fan switch or motor. Check with a test light to make sure where the voltage stops.

Chk for power at the blower motor electrical connector. If no voltage, check the blower motor resistor, its within the blower motor vent (this controls power to the blower motor). Also, in theses vehicles water may have damaged the blower motor itself. Inspect the blower motor for proper function.

My 04 silverado blows cool air out drivers side and hot out passenger side

I had that problem with my 04. Found out it was the "Blend" door that was bad. After I had it replaced, no more problems.

Ac wont blow cool

check the actuator door on the heater and make sure it is opening an closing the door on the heater to transfer from heat to ac. It is a small motor attached to the heater and allows the ac to be directed to the vents.

HEIL HVAC, fan blows but no heat or AC

Your airconditioning system may be out of cooling gas, and if it has sufficient gas, the compressor might not pick when you put on the AC, and if the compressor did not pick ie start, you cant experience cooling effect, the fan will only be blowing.

2004 Chevy Silverado heater blows cold air. What would cause this problem?

the heat is independant from your ac. look for leaky radiator hoses or heater hoses, radiator cap, coolant

leaks inside your cab under the dashboard on your floor board. if you have non of these problems.

you may have a blocked or stopped up heater core and it will need to be replaced. depending on the

truck some replacements are easy and some hard , trucks and cars vary. good luck!

'04 Chev Silverado 1/2ton Heater only blows warm air when motor is at high RPM. When I stop and its just idling, it blows cool air.

It sounds like your thermostat may be stuck open, with the engine working hard the temperature of the engine comes up thus the warm air, but just at an idle the thermostat is letting the coolant circulate and not holding it their until it reaches a warm enough temp. You are most likely going to need to change the thermostat.

Chevy silverado heater stinks

There is a fan control module mounted in the air plenum that is known for going bad.Check the connector where it plug's in under the case below the glove box for a burnt connection.Usually the connectors will melt but it can still be bad where it goe's into case.It need's airflow to cool the resistor,s for the differant blower speeds.

Intermittant hot/cold air from heater

Had the same problem with my Mazda6 awhile back. Took it to the dealer and they found the radiator wasn't holding pressure. They replaced the whole radiator under warranty (WHEW!). Not sure how to check for that kind of thing, but it's a start.
