How to change ìt
Changing a timing belt is not a very easy task for a novice do it yourselfer. If you've never done it before you may want to have someone who has done it before help you out.
On most engines your going to have to take off a whole slew of parts to get to the timing belt such as timing cover, valve cover, belts, pulleys, alternator, a/c compressor, etc.
On a Honda Civic four cylinder engine it takes me about four hours to do in my own garage with simple tools. And I've done a few quite a few timing belts on different cars now.
I hope this gets you started in the right directions, and please let me know if I can assist you any further,

Timing belts are not easy to change. You need to be experienced, mechanical, and have a decent set of tools, access to both the top and bottom of the car will also be required. Good luck.
Also, this a a good opportunity to change the water pump and the drive belts.

Most likely you will only have to replace the timing belt. There is a chance that a valve hit a piston, but this usually doesn't happen unless you were racing the engine when the belt broke.

you have to take off the passanger side tire to acess it but you beed to loosen the altenator to get the belt off then work from the bottom of the car trust me it is a pain in the **** but your other route is to move the ac and power stearing lines

rotate crankshaft in a clockwise direction until both timing marks are aligned together on both camshaft gears and the crankshaft timing mark aligns with mark on the block just behind the crankshaft gear. you may need to rotate the crankshaft gear several times before you can get all the timing marks to align. once you have done this then insert a allen wrench in the hole on the belt tensioner and a small drill bit or a small allen wrench in the smaller hole. take the largr allen wrench and apply pressure counterclockwise until the small drill bit or allen wrench slides into locking hole to hold the belt tensioner in place. install belt and release the tensioner. (note: before starting work on engine remove the negative cable from battery).
