Timing chain went bad replacement doesn't fit it's to large old chain 80 links as well as new chain even changing the gears I am unsure what step to take

This type of work is beyond the scope of what we can advise here. I'd suggest that you obtain a CHilton or some other manual for your car, with pictures and instructions, to do this job.
If you can't find a manual in the local auto parts store, try the local library. They often will have a book, or a used book store like half priced books.
(I usually donate my old manuals to the library after I dump a car, figuring if I ever need to work on that type car again, I know where it will be at.)
