Well, you picked a beauty to fix. I don't think that either a 2 or 4 wheel drive will make a difference. The biggest problem is that after you remove the axle from the car you need a special bearing removal tool, and a slide hammer to remove the bearing from the axle. Then you need a special bearing installation tool and a universal driver handle to install the new axle shaft bearing. And last, you need a axle pinion oil seal installation tool to install the oil seal. If you are not a skilled mechanic, I would suggest that you find a local reputable mechanic and let him do this repair for you.
