Hi Carl.,

If the antenna motor runs and the antenna does not move out, then there is something wrong inside the antenna unit. Replacing a fuse will not solve the problem. Change the antenna unit.

Good luck.

Look in the trun k on the ant side and pull back the the felt and you will see where it connects and disconnects. You have a broken antenna lead. At the bottom of all electronic antennas is a plastic lead that fits in the motor to wind the antenna up or down. The motor is still good you only need to replace the stem. Good luck.

SOURCE: Power antenna motor runs, but antenna doesn't

Fault in the retractor assy. Is the mast bent. If it is gently try to straighten best possible lube with silicone spray. With someone turn off the radio , try manually putting antenna down with the palm of your hand squezzed around mast and forcing. Do the same going up, pull by the end tip ,

SOURCE: Antenna motor runs after car is shut off, without retracting the antenna. I have to disconnect my battery to stop it

Relay #27 in the box under the hood runs only the power antenna on a 1992. For the future here's the parts guide for everything in your jeep. Page 180 has a picture of what you want to pull.

Something is draining my battery in licoin contantail

A lot of times the power antenna stops moving , but the motor continues to run trying to put it down. Pull the power antenna fuse and see if it's still draining. If it is you need to put an amp meter in line with the battery positive cable and the wire , then one at a time pull the fuses in the fuse panels until there is little to no amp draw. Once you find the fuse you can then see which system is the cause and start from there

Antenna motor keeps running. How do I disconnect?

2 ways you can do it> 1 find the fuse and pull it out but only if it is for the antenna or you can disconnect the antenna wire from the back of your radio, it is normaly a blue wire run with the power harness. Red is 12V. Black is Ground 0V. Yellow is Remote, it works with an AMP if you have one installed. Blue is normaly the power antenna. hope this helps> test it first by pulling the fuse to the radio and if the antenna does not operate then the power is from the radio

Antenna motor will not stop running

No, I wouldn't pull the fuse then. But you could pull the electrical connector off at the antenna motor. Just have the antenna up if you want the radio, and pull off the antenna motor connector. When or if you get a new antenna motor for it, it should be an easy replacement. Look for a motor at a salvage yard.

Antenna motor runs while the radio is on or off. The antenna is stuck in the extended position. When the car is shut off the antenna motor continues to run to retract the antenna, but it doesn't go

You need to pull the fuse for the antenna or just unplug it. It has a fairly ridgid plastic wire that pushes the antenna up and down. Works fine until the wire breaks then it rolls up (antenna down) but it never increases resistance because the antenna never comes down , it's like a fishing reel when the lure breaks off, so the motor thinks that the antenna is still coming down and it will run and run and run trying to do it's job. Your lucky it stuck up and not down. If you want your antenna to go up and down again you'll have to buy and install a new one.

Power antenna wont go down

The flex drive cord that raises the antenna mast and lowers it is most likely broken, you can replace just the mast and drive cord.
