Timing chain was cut recently and car came to a halt.Engine oil light was on inspite of the fact that engine oil was present in the system. Timing chain has been replaced, engine has been flushed and new engine oil filled.
The engine oil light is still showing on the dash board when the engine is running.
Most important thing you need to do is to establish the actual oil pressure. put a mechanical gauge on the engine and read real oil pressure. If pressure is low (min is 15psi, I prefer to see at least 20 at idle) there is an internal problem...bearings etc. If pressure is good, sending unit has failed...replace it. I would not drive it 'till the oil pressure is verified as being safe. You might get lucky and someone just forgot to plug in the sending unit, but it must be checked!!! good luck
set the timing mark of the timing chain . even though its been replace you still have to set the timing mark of the timing chain for the engine to run good . May be that is the reason why dash board light is still on while running , don' t worry about the dash board its not grounded.

- If you have change the oil its not supposed to light any more . Look for the oil light and check it, may be when the timing chain was it got affected.just adjust it .

this morning i tried to start my car and open the locks with my remote but it didn't work. i thought my remote's battery was low. then i tried to open the locks on the door by pressing the lock button inside the car. that did not work. i then put the keys in but my car did not start at all. i think some cables or wires are unplugged but i don't know how to fix it.
