What is it looking like as far as where you have the most clearance or possibility or rotating it out?

Do you have the room to get it out?

Your best bet to do this would be to get the Haynes or Chilton's repair manual on your vehicle so you have step by step removal and installation instructions as well as adjustment procedures.

How do u remove a alternator from a 98 Kia sephia

Loosen the alternator belt, then remove the two bolts that hold the alternator to the engine block, one is on the top right corner of the alternator and the other is at the bottom right on the back.
You will have to remove the engine mount bolt, then you can jack up the engine in order for the alternator to fit between the intake manifold and the firewall.

How to replace Alternator on 2001 Kia Sephia

You may try removing the engine mount and slightly raising the engine. It will give you much more room to work. I had to replace the timing belt on mine and I resisted this advice for a while. Once I finally did, the job went much quicker. I placed a jack under the oil pan (with a block of wood between jack and oil pan) and then upped the jack until it just made contact. Then I removed the engine mount directly in front of the serpentine belt. You can then slowly jack the engine up to gain more room. I can't remember where the alternator is on the sephia (up high on the motor or down low). If it's low, you could just lower the jack slowly to gain more room.

2001 Sephia, rebuilt alternator, now won't start

check the alternator see if the silinoid is not sticking.jack it up and have some one put the hand under ste cilinoid and if they feel some kind of movement then it's not the alternator hope that helps
