How do i get alt off a 98 ford contour

I cant find a way to get the alt on my 98 contour off even on the hoist am i missing something

You dont have to pull your engine out you can get the alternator out thru the left wheel well after you pull the splash panel

I'd seen it don on a vehicle hoist.. mechanic reached straight up from underneath and simply unscrewed it and pulled it out almost straight downwards..

I have an issue with a 98 ford contour v6. all the lights pulse when the alternator is charging above idle. alt has been replaced.checked the fuse at rear of engine.any ideas about this problem.
This is usually caused by a failing regulator within the alternator, however, it would be a good idea to also check all engine to chassis grounding straps. Thank you.
