!998 3.0 Isuzu trooper ciatation. engine rebuilt, new alternator, oil rail preasure switch and thottle body. Starts perfectly from cold and pulls very well until reches normal opperating temperature. when going up hill or excelerating engine develops misfire and loses power. Sometimes when starting from warm it is as if it has run out of deisel and engine fires as if it would when fuel system is being bled. have checked for air in system but surley if air present engine would play up when cold. Any comments gratefully recieved.
What grade of you do you have ? must be 5/30 fully synth or it breaks down when hot and makes for a misfire.

- You need to have tech II plugged in to see what the rail oil pressure control valve is running at when under load .
The fault sounds as if the injector oil pressure system is dropping pressure when the engine gets hot.
You did put 5/30 synthetic oil in ?

- You may need a new rail oil pressure control valve fitted to the high pressure pump.This would need tech II to check if its at fault first though .
I would start with the simple checks though - did you have the rail oil pressure sensor set upon tech II ? many dealers dont do this but it will give faults like yours and have you used 5/30 synthetic oil ?
