MY ISUZU KB 300TDI STRUGGLES TO START AND WHEN IT EVENTUALLY STARTS IT SWITCH OFF IMMEDIATELY AS IF THE KEY HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF. THEN THE FAULT CODES ARE P0251, P1650 AND P1651

It is very common for many vehicles to drive nicely with the Check Engine light on. This is why so many people simply ignore the light. (BAD MISTAKE)

The true fact is that the computer is trying to tell you that there is a malfunction in one of the many different systems and/or electrical circuits that are monitored by your onboard computer network. Some of the possible malfunctions are simple and do not require much in the way of diagnosis or repair. Other possible problems are not so easy.

At the very least, you are wasting expensive fuel. The engine computer cannot properly maintain the correct air/fuel ratio when there is a system malfunction and the light is on. At worst, you could be causing severe damage to some very high-priced parts of your car(including the engine and/or transmission and catalytic converters) if you continue to operate it with the light on. Chances are very high that the longer you drive it with the light on, the more expensive it will be to fix it when you do finally fix it.

The only way to find out the nature of the failure is to scan your onboard computer network and retrieve the Diagnostic Test Codes (DTCs) (AKA - Fault Codes) that have been recorded as a result of the malfunction. These codes are then used to identify the correct diagnostic and repair procedures.

what car make, Isuzu
what body class, ? i google for you and find? KB TRuck.
what country. Africa or Australia (they are not same car)
so why ask on uSA forum that has no such car, no books etc?
we can't look it up or read your glove box operators manual.
my guess go to ISUZU and get the book.
or
seems the 4wd is messed up. get the car serviced.

2000 Rodeo: No Crank, No Start issue. I have bumped the gear shift and bumped the steering wheel to get car to immediately start. I even switched keys one time and Rodeo started immediately. Repair sh


Many keys today have a microchip in the key itself, and if the chip has malfunctioned the car won't respond normally. Your second key working is proof the trouble is in the key not the car. I think they can be checked in some Autoparts stores.

the ECU/PCM lost power, you blew some fuses.

the CEL must glow , at first key on or the ECU is dead.
check fuses.

1999 Isuzu Amigo V6 2wd: Car doesn't start always. Turn the key, lights come on, radio on, etc, but no clicking noise, no engine trying to turn over, absolutely nothing. I put in a new battery, but same...


When I have such a problem with my Toyota pickup, I install a button in dash to crank the motor over. Hot wire from the switch on to the button, then from the button to the starter activating wire. My Toy doesn't do this every time, but when it won't crank I just reach down and flip the spring center switch, same as a button, and she cranks and fires up. This is easier than replacing a bunch of stuff that may not be bad or is impossible to get to.

At times when i turn the key it will not start. The lights, radio and dash works but nothing else. after several minutes of trying it eventually starts


do you hear clicking when trying to start? sounds like your starter is goin bad. have your local parts store test it out
