Check the:
1. Centre contact with in the bulb holder for corrosion.
2. Presence of supply voltage with a test lamp when the ignition switch is on, hand brake pulled, engine off and reverse gear engaged.
3. Ground circuit.
4. Replace bulb.

SOURCE: Can't remove back light to change reverse light bulb.

Sorry I have been out of town. I went to the library and borrowed the Chilton book. I already had it right, but the back light cover was just not being cooperative. After jiggling it a little more, it came off and I was able to change the bulb. I wish they had made it simpler like the old Camry _ where there wasn't so much difficulty getting at the bulbs.

Thank you for checking.

SOURCE: Front right turn signal

You need to replace the whole socket. Unfortunately I was told by an auto wrecker that the daytime running lights on the front of the intrigue heat up the plastic in the black socket your bulb sits in and the plastic melts and prevents a proper contact with the bulb. I got a replacement socket and bulb for $15 at the auto wreckers. Money well spent - it is easy to replace! Your bulbs are probably not burnt out.

SOURCE: reverse light not working

There is a sensor that connects to the light shifter which tells the car when it is in reverse. It may need to be replaced. You can remove it and check it with an ohmmeter or voltmeter to see if it is good or not.

What fuse do I need to change to make my temp light come on; on the dash board any make temp blow

Is this the only light that is out? If so the bulb has failed. You would have to change the bulb. Pop the plastic cover over your instrument cluster, Unscrew the instrument cluster (4 screws) , pull towards yourself .The bulb is behind the temperature gauge. There you will find a holder of the bulb, turn left or right to unscrew remove and change the bulb. I believe it to be 194. When installing bulb wipe clean with cloth and don't touch. Skin oil tends to make for short life. Install bulb and go in reverse till all is together. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Back up lights not working

Assuming it has automatic, 10A fuse 29 in the smart junction box supplies power to the reverse lamps relay. If the fuse is OK, the relay could have failed. Fuse 3 in the smart junction box may be open, causing the license plate lights to be off.

My reverse lights don't work on my 2000 323CI 5 speed BMW when in gear

The fuse holder contains 10A fuse F27 which supplies power to the reversing light switch. When you shift into reverse with the engine running, the switch closes and the back up lights turn on. If the fuse is OK, you may have a defective switch

Check fuse No. 9 (10A) in the driver's side kick panel fuse box. But if your other gauges are working (speedometer, tachometer, low oil light, etc.) then it is possible that when you jumped the battery you inadvertently reversed the cables and created a reverse voltage. This will impact some of the vehicle electronics. If you feel this might be the case, you should test the cooling system temperature sender to see if it failed. If it did, you should suspect that the fuel gauge drive circuit located in the instrument cluster is also failed.
