check the relay for the g-plugs as it is not supplying power to the glo-plugs. Check that there is power getting to the relay to energise it to get power to the plugs.. Probably a fuse is blown

Landcruiser 05 1HZ, Glow Plug Light comes on when I decelerate and goes off when I accelerate again - any idea

Hello kbmind, A number of different glow plug systems were used on the Landcruiser, depending where it was made and what country it was shipped to. However, they all serve the same purpose on a diesel injection. To preheat the combustion chambers. If your light is on when you deaccelerate the control module thinks the cylinder is cooling down & fires up the glow plug. This usually indicates the glow plug relay is weak and/or the glow plugs themself are worn.
Depending on your mileage, i would say it's the relay. The glow plugs can be tested with an ohm meter to determine if they need to be replaced. I hope this helps.

Interior lights stay on

The door switches for these supply ground contact to turn the lights on so this would indicate that either one of the switches has failed (come apart) or somewhere along the line one of these leads is rubbed through or pinched and providing random contact to chassis ground.

HZJ79R Toyota Landcruiser brakes.

You could be correct regarding the proportioning valve,

This allows more fluid pressure to the rear brakes when the vehicle is loaded, otherwise it will mainly brake using the front most. Adding the extra leaf may have altered the setting.

Another thing is that the pads may be contaminated with rust, or be a compound too hard. Cheaper replacement pads are often not the same material as OE parts. Make sure the calipers are free to move and not siezed.
