We use Marine Polish. Use a small drill buffer, polish until clear. Make sure you use polish and not wax.

The best way to polihs a car

With an orbital buffer - you won't burn the paint.

else if your good . . . a circular buffer with a wool pad

I use a glazing compound (i.e. black ebony) with a circular buffer
followed by a carnuba polish and a orbital buffer.

Home rememdy for removing scratches

this depends upon the surface you wish to take the scratches out. On a car you can use a harsh polish or a cutting compound. However treat with care because you can damage your paintwork by being too aggressive in your usage of the compound.
Many panelbeaters use electric buffers to polish out scratches but this needs a gentle hand as you are at risk of damaging your paintwork

Sun damaged / faded headlamp lenses on VW passat i have been told that it can be polished out and then have a film applied i would like to nkow about specific products and process to restore lense

Thers a product i use, this is made by 3m, its a 4 step product, first you sand, then sand again with a finner sand paper then you use a wheel with a cleaner on it and last you polish the lens and it comes out good, the key is to sand it good and take your time, napa sells this product, this kit comes with everything all you need is a drill,a good drill. good luck, also if you google 3m headlight restoration you will see theres even a video on youtube that will pop up, becareful theres a kit for 379.00 thats not the one, the kit i speak of is about 25.00 and will do a few sets of lights maybe two.heres a picture of it.

How can I remove the headlight lens?

The lens is sealed to the body , not to be removed. Replacement of burnt out bulbs is done by going inside the engine compartment , and removing the bulb from the back of the headlight housing. If your lens is cloudy or yellowed , it can be polished with a buffer and a mild polishing compound.

Can the 1999 durango headlight lens be polished on a buffer?

if the lenses are getting cloudy, they can be restored. Easiest way is to start by wet sanding the lenses with a fine grit sand paper, about 200 grit, then working progressively finer in about 3 stages. After sanding, if you want them even clearer a high speed buffer with cutting compound then polishing compound works well.

Headlight plastic lenses are blemished. can they be refurbished ?

Depending on how bad they are. Most chain auto parts stores sell a kit (NAPA for example) that consists of a paste and assorted buffing cloths made especially for headlights. It does a relatively nice job if they're not too damaged, and you have a couple of hours free time.
