I had a distributor module go bad in a 1983 Pontiac V6. One dealer could not fix it, and second dealer diagnosed and fixed it in 30 minutes after I had it towed to him. It would start up and run for about 70 seconds and then quit. Restart everytime. Same thing. Part of the circuit has a startup mode like a cold choke, then the main mode switches in. My main mode was burned out.
